Taylor Swift, received 6 nominations with her album Folklore.
Dua Lipa also received six nominations for the disco-tinged Future Nostalgia.
Rapper Roddy Ricch tied with Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa with six nominations, the majority of which recognized his hit single The Box, which spent 11 weeks at number one earlier this year.
Fans were shocked and disappointed for R&B star The Weeknd, who was completely shut out, despite having the biggest-selling album of 2020 in the US with After Hours.
