Teyana Taylor’s Juneteenth Album Listening Party In Beverly Hills


Celebs and friends  were in attendance at Teyna Taylor’s L.A. listening party for her Juneteenth release The Album  on Wednesday (June 17) .Some of the attendees include Cardi and her rapper husband Offset , his bandmate Quavo, model Winnie Harlow,Karrec writer/actress Lena Waithe, Terrence J and many more.Guest wore custom canary yellow hazmat suit created for Teyana’s guests.  Teyana Taylor releases her third studio album, The Album, on June 19th, 2020. It follows up her 2018 album K. T.S.E The album was released on Def Jam/G.O.O.D. Music/Universal Music Group. Six singles “How You Want It?”, “Morning”, “We Got Love”, “Made It”, “Bare With Me”, and “Wake Up Love” were released prior to the album drop. Teyana penned a post on Billboard about why she chose Juneteenth, the day the last slaves in Texas learned they had been freed by the Emancipation Proclamation, as the date for the drop. She spoke about how the emotions of her current pregnancy coupled with the state of affairs for black folks in America helped her decide on the date.  Teyana told Apple Music that the album breaks down into 5 sections. Studio A or tracks 1-5 are love songs. Studio L or tracks 6-10 are about sexuality. Studio B or tracks 11-14 are about self-worth. Studio U or tracks 15-18 are about vulnerability. Studio M or tracks 19-23 are about triumph.

The 23 track album features Big Sean, Davido, Erykah Badu, Future, Iman Shumpert, Junie Shumpert, King Combs, Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, Quavo, and Rick Ross. Production was provided by 1one Ca$h, Angel López, Ayo & Keyz, Baruch “Mixx” Nembhard, Bizness Boi, Bongo, Boogz, Cardiak, Carrington Brown, David Drake, DJ Camper, E*Vax, Federico Vindver, Hitmaka, Johan Lenox, Jordan Mosley, Justin Mosley, Kanye West, Keithen Foster, Marco Mavy, Miguel Jimenez, MIKE DEAN, Murda Beatz, NinetyFour, NOVA WAV, Ray Keys, Sangria, Scribz, Sean Alaric, Seven Aurelius, Swagg R’Celious, Swiff D, Teyana Taylor, Timbaland, Travis Marsh, Tune Da Rula, U-N-I, and Wallis Lane. Recording duties were split between Andrew Dawson, Baruch “Mixx” Nembhard, Joel White, MIKE DEAN, Mike Snell, Nathaniel Alford, Noah Goldstein, and Zack Djurich. Mixing was done by Andrew Dawson, Jaycen Joshua, Jess Jackson, and Mike Snell. The album was mastered by Colin Leonard of Sing Mastering.
