Katy Perry  and  Orlando  have announced the birth of their first child together, a  baby girl named Daisy Dove Bloom.

The announcement was made on behalf of the couple by Unicef ,the United Nations Children’s Fund, for which Perry and Bloom are Goodwill Ambassadors.

The organization shared a black-and-white photograph of the couple holding hands with their newborn  daughter , a decorative daisy printed on Perry’s thumbnail in honor of her child.

The post’s caption began with a congratulatory message for the couple, which read: “Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honored to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors @KatyPerry and @OrlandoBloom’s new bundle of joy.”

The rest of the caption featured a statement from Perry and Bloom, in which the engaged couple expressed their hope that people will donate towards Unicef in honor of Daisy’s birth.

“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” the singer and actor told Unicef.
