Lewis Hamilton secured his first win of the season and the 85th of his career as Mercedes delivered a one-two finish in Sunday’s Styrian Grand Prix. Before and after the race, Hamilton made a more definitive statement by kneeling ahead of the anthem and raising his fist on the winner’s podium. The scene is reminiscent of the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, when Tommie Smith & John Carlos performed a Black Power salute while being presented with their medals.
